Police search for missing Kingwood girl

Wednesday, July 31, 2013

B.R. Kimbro

Police are looking for a 15-year-old Kingwood girl who ran away from home last week, possibly with a man she met online, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Carrie Lynn Cossey was last seen Thursday, July 25, before she reportedly packed a backpack full of clothes and left her parents' home in Kings Manor. Cossey's parents and HCSO Missing Persons Unit Sgt. D. Thomas believe she may have been lured away from home by a man she had been talking to on Facebook named “Travis Wills.” “We have worked several cases where we found the kid in another city, in another town, all the way to another state, because they were lured there by someone they met on Facebook,” Thomas said. Cossey was last seen wearing a pink floral shirt, pink shorts and white sandals, according to HCSO. She is 5-feet-2 inches tall, weighs 115 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She also has a mole next to her left eye. For more information, visit www.hcso.beenmissing.org.
