On Tuesday, April 3, from 6-9 p.m. at the Kingwood Community Center, 4102 Rustic Woods Dr., Dan Crenshaw will meet with the people of Kingwood and surrounding areas. Crenshaw, Lt. Comm. U.S. Navy (Retired), a sixth-generation Texas and Houston native, is now running for Congressional District 2 in Texas, where Crenshaw grew up and where his family now lives.
Crenshaw has served the country as a Navy SEAL and was deployed five times over a 10-year career.
During his third deployment to Afghanistan, Crenshaw was hit by an IED blast and lost his right eye. Exemplifying the grit and resilience that Houstonians know so well, he continued his service with deployments to the Middle East and South Korea. Crenshaw retired with two Bronze Stars, one with Valor, The Purple Heart and the Navy Commendation Metal with Valor. Crenshaw completed his master's degree at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Crenshaw and his wife Tara are committed to the people of Texas and believe in service before self. Crenshaw can no longer fight on the battlefield, but he can bring the integrity, leadership and tenacity earned in the SEALs to fight in Congress for Christian conservative values, free enterprise and national security.
