The Hi Neighbor Club of Kingwood, which promotes friendship and community involvement, recently recognized two outstanding members for their excellence in serving the organization.
“Heart of Hi Neighbor” was awarded to the current president, Sherran Domescik. This annual award is voted on by the members, and the certificate of recognition was proudly presented to Domescik because she has gone above and beyond in her service to the club. Serving in numerous capacities, the members can always count on her outstanding leadership.
“Member of the Year” was presented to P.V. Fitzharris, a board member who cheerfully gives of her time and effort for community service, such as Mission Northeast, FamilyTime and other charitable causes. Fitzharris has contributed greatly to the success of Hi Neighbor with her outstanding qualities and a spirit of friendship, loyalty and support.
Always contributing to the needs of the community, this generous club bought a new washer and dryer for Kingwood Fire Station 101, which is located on Kingwood Drive. Debbie Campbell, a dedicated member, presented the men at the station with their much-needed appliances in April. Ruthann Koza presented the Kingwood Library with $250 from Hi Neighbor.
