Over the Memorial Day weekend (May 24-27), deputies with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman's DWI Task Force arrested a total of 14 suspected drunk drivers and one suspect for possession of a controlled substance. The drivers were each stopped for traffic violations and displayed several signs of intoxication. Standardized field sobriety tests were administered on each suspect and it was discovered that they were driving while intoxicated. All suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with DWI.

Of those arrested, Mark Lovell, Victor Marmolejo and Raymundo Olivio had one prior DWI charge each and Gerardo Valdez and Ashley Gautreaux had two prior DWI charges each. Kachandra Robinson was found to be in possession of ecstasy and was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

“Drinking and driving is not tolerated in Precinct 4. If you choose to drive drunk, you choose to go to jail,” said Herman.
