The Kingwood Women's Club members held their annual installation luncheon Thursday, May 9 at The Overlook in Atascocita. Incoming new members, new and old executive and appointed board members were recognized for their service and commitment. Over 100 women braved the stormy weather and were rewarded with a delicious lunch catered by Marsala's. Twenty new members were welcomed into this philanthropic group which volunteers at various area charities like HAAM, Society of St. Stephen, FamilyTime and Mission Northeast.

Members commit to volunteering a minimum of 40 hours to maintain their membership in the club, with some members serving well over 250 hours. The volunteers were recognized for all their hard work for the community.

Along with their many volunteer hours, the group also raises money to help the charities they work for with funds from their popular Holiday Marketplace held every fall. This year's 22nd Holiday Marketplace will be Oct. 21 and 22.
