Noleah Cole receives a scholarship to continue her dream of becoming a school teacher.

Noleah Cole, a Foster Elementary pre-k paraeducator, won the 2019 Region 4 Scholarship for $1,000, April 12, at the Region 4 Association of Texas Professional Educators Spring meeting at the Junior League of Houston. The scholarship will be used to help Cole complete her bachelor’s degree in education.

“I am truly honored to have been awarded this scholarship and cannot wait to have a class of my own,” Cole said.  Presenting the award were Scholarship Committee Member Dee Harris, Spring ATPE; Region 4 Treasurer Shawn Mustain, Spring Branch ATPE; Cole, and Region 4 President Ron Fitzwater, Alvin ATPE.  

The Association of Texas Professional Educators has been a strong voice for Texas educators since 1980. It is the leading educators’ association in Texas with over 100,000 members statewide. With its strong collaborative philosophy, ATPE speaks for classroom teachers, administrators, future, retired and para-educators and works to create better opportunities for Texas’s five million public school students. Humble ATPE is the largest local unit in Region 4 with 1,771 members. Louis Mascolo, from Kingwood High School is ATPE President.
