Lone Star College's Small Business Development Center's 2018 Small Business of the Year Awards process concluded with a luncheon held at Lone Star Community Building Thursday, Nov. 15 where the winners were announced. Kingwood's Pretty Little Things Boutique is one of the latest winners for a Small Business of the Year Award. Other winners were Flying M Feed & Company, Primrose School of Conroe, Home Exterior Systems, Petra Oil Company, Norris Training Systems, Hanigan+Johnson Orthodontics, and Animal ER of Northwest Houston. The event included more than 270 guests and business owners who were welcomed by Stephen C. Head, Ph.D., LSC chancellor. Tim Jeffcoat, district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration Houston District Office, and Linda Leto Head, LSC senior associate vice chancellor of External and Employer Relations, also spoke at the luncheon on the importance of supporting small businesses in our community.
