Kingwood Dance Theatre invites the community to attend its delightful storybook ballet “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”
Kelly Agnew conjured up the enchanting choreography being performed by more than 100 local dancers.
The spellbinding fairytale is sure to captivate audiences of all ages. Come watch the familiar tale unravel as Snow White escapes from the Evil Queen, flees through the Forest of Shadows, meets some friendly animals, and finds shelter with her beloved Seven Dwarfs. Will the Prince arrive in time to save Snow White from the poisoned apple?
This family-friendly event features the talented dancers of Kingwood Dance Theatre (KDT), the only nonprofit pre-professional ballet company in the area. Keira King will dance the role of “Snow White.” Guest artist Seth York will appear as the “Prince.”
Annie Shupak and Emma Monsen will share the role of the “Evil Queen.” Alexis Weier and Lauren Lee will share the role as the “Evil Queen’s Lady-in-Waiting.”
Andrew Copeland will appear as the “Huntsman.” Jenna Monteleone and Caroline Inzone will partner with York for the “Shadows” pas de deux. Company members Monsen, Lee, Sabrina Stilson, Inzone, Jessica Hoyt, Kylie Kimmons, Madison Ripp, Shupak, Alexis Weier, Sarah Schwabenland, Monteleone, Bentley, Lily Agnew and Sarabeth Hanz will share the role of the “Seven Dwarfs.”
Joining KDT will be the dancers of Kingwood Youth Ballet, KDT’s apprentice company, as well as students currently studying dance at the Rowland School of Ballet.
The ballet performances will be held at the Nathaniel Center, 804 Russell Palmer Rd. in Kingwood, Friday, April 13, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 15, at 3:00 p.m. All shows, except for the Saturday matinee, will be catered by Italiano’s in a dinner theater format.
Individual tickets are $25 or reserved tables of eight may be purchased for $250. The Saturday matinee does not include a meal, but concessions will be available for purchase. Individual tickets to the Saturday matinee show are $15 and reserved tables of eight are $170.
