Abby Christina Hellauer and Geoffrey Clark Geiger are happy to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. The couple will be married in their favorite destination, Cape Cod. The intimate, outdoor ceremony will take place October 5, 2018 among close friends and family at the historic Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis, Massachusetts. A reception is to follow with a traditional New England lobster and clambake. Abby’s siblings, twins Matthew and Molly, will officiate the wedding.
Abby, daughter of Terry and Brian (Shelton, CT), works for Rutgers Global—Study Abroad in New Brunswick, NJ and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs from the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College in 2012, Abby spent time working in Florence, Italy. She is a lifelong swimmer and sometimes mermaid, passionate activist, poet, fluent in Italian, and expert in all things glitter.
Geoffrey, son of Judy and Mike (Humble, TX), is a private fine-wine collection manager based in central New Jersey. He recently served as an e-commerce wine and spirits buyer and retail shop manager in Brooklyn, NY. He is an Humble High School alum, studied history at the University of Texas-Austin, is an avid diner placemat collector, a former New York City tour guide, actor, and served as Managing Editor for Humble’s Tribune Newspaper between 2011-2013.
Abby and Geoffrey fell in love in Brooklyn in early 2015. The couple will be combining their last names and hope to lay a feminist foundation for their future family. They reside in Edison, NJ with their little black cat Stella.
