Name: Jamil Carbo
Position: Graphic Designer and Online Coordinator

Biography:

Jamil moved to Atascocita from Philadelphia, Penn. in the end of May of 2007. After working for MSC Landscaping Co., he found an ad in The Tribune newspaper for a graphic artist position. He applied and started to work for the paper in January '08. Now, he uploads the stories to The Tribune Web site, designs ads and assists Ricardo, our Art Director, in the pagination process.
Jamil acquired his Graphic Design degree in Atlantic College of Puerto Rico on 2004. He has designed for various companies in Puerto Rico, his former church, and The Cultural Institute of Puerto Rico.
Brought up in the visual arts, thanks to his father's sign making profession, he fully embraced the design career in an 8th grade 'Career Day' trip and later visiting a graphic arts convention.
"To me, everything is design. God is my ultimate inspiration, so I strive to design as best possible. I'm truly grateful to be part of The Tribune. Everyday there's something exciting going on and wonderful people to work with," said Carbo.
