The vintage of 2015 was characterized by low yields and high quality. The winter of 2014-2015 brought some temporary relief from the drought; however, the winter rains ended by February, leaving us to start the season with lower than average rainfall. The unseasonably warm temperatures in late winter and early spring led to an early bud break and bloom. The overall dry season resulted in smaller berry size with concentrated characteristics with added dept to the fruit’s inherent flavors. Beginning in July and concluding in mid-October, this harvest was one of the earliest on record for Napa Valley.
A portion of the 2015 Caberent Sauvignon is sourced from the Heide Ranch vineyard, one of the latest additions to the impressive vineyard portfolio. Located in the eastern part of the Napa Valley Appellation, this region produces exceptional ripe fruit., giving this Cabernet Sauvignon the bold and rich flavors that aficionados everywhere have grown to love.
