Kingwood Park High School athletics has already seen a terrific 2018 calendar year. Already, two teams, the girls soccer and baseball programs, had advanced to state for the very first time.

Saturday, a third Panther team joined the ranks in making history as the Kingwood Park Panthers volleyball team is off to the state semifinals.

After a terrific regular season in which they won District 20-5A, the Panthers continued their winning ways into the playoffs.

Since losing a close game by a field goal to Katy in early September, the Atascocita Eagles football team has rolled through the rest of its schedule.

Kingwood moved one step closer to the playoffs with a 42-6 victory on the road Friday over Pasadena. The Mustangs close the regular season on Saturday when they play visitors to Humble in a 4 p.m. game at Turner Stadium.

GAC’s premier golf tournament is right around the corner and Humble- and Houston-area golfers are encouraged to sign up.

“This will be the 22nd year for GAC’s fundraising event,” according to Brian Clary, local attorney and long-time board member for GAC.

Kingwood High School girls basketball team kicked off their 2018 season with a team breakfast and team bonding.
