The Kingwood Park girls and boys swimming and diving teams captured the 2018 5A District 22 Championships. The Panthers and Lady Panthers will be back in action in February at the 5A Region 6 Championships in Magnolia.

The District 21-6A girls’ soccer season is right around the corner and the Kingwood Lady Mustangs are getting prepared.

The team opens district play at 7:30 p.m.

Going into this past week’s action, the Atascocita Eagles boys basketball team held a 13-game win streak and a two-game lead in the District 21-6A race.

After seeing its first three matches of the season come without a victory (two losses and a tie), the Kingwood Park Panthers men’s soccer team is now in the win column in 2018.

It was an up and down weekend for the Kingwood girls’ soccer team. The Lady Mustangs won two lopsided matches at the Brazos Valley Cup, but also suffered their first defeat.

Kingwood improved to 4-1-1 on the season with a 6-0 victory over Beaumont Westbrook on Saturday to close out the event.

Kingwood Park’s Luisa Alcala captured the 200-yard freestyle helping the Panthers Swimming and Diving teams defeat New Caney and Porter. Next up for the Panthers is the District 22-5A Championships Jan. 19-20.
