Kingwood and Kingwood Park High Schools came together to hold a softball camp for area players, and, guessing by their faces, these young ladies had a great time while learning many new skills.

The Kingwood Park volleyball program wrapped up its annual camp last week. It was the largest group of campers in the school’s history.

Timberwood Middle School basketball players learned a lot and had a great time   at NBA star Patrick Beverly’s (center) basketball camp Camp Lockdown hosted at The Gym in Humble.

Kyle Finnegan, a 26-year-old, right-handed relief pitcher is currently on the seven-day disabled list, but began the season as a non-roster invitee to the Oakland Athletics spring training where he appeared in six games and recorded one save.

It will be a somewhat different set of opponents but the goals are the same for Kingwood boys and girls cross country teams. Both seek to defend their district crowns and move on from there.
