For the second consecutive season, the Kingwood Lady Mustangs have advanced to the Region III-6A soccer tournament. Kingwood takes on District 19-6A runner-up Katy Tompkins (17-2-3) in a 2:30 p.m.



For a number of years, the Kingwood Park Panthers girls’ soccer program had been knocking on the proverbial door, trying to get to that next level.

The Atascocita High School Lady Eagles soccer team is headed to the area round of the UIL state playoffs after beating Dobie 5-0 over the weekend. Atascocita will next face Clear Springs in LaPorte Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Kingwood Lady Mustangs blanked C.E. King by a 5-0 score on Friday to clinch an undefeated District 21-6A season and extend their streak of district championships to 28 consecutive seasons.

Humble sprinter Jordan Booker set a new school record in the 200-meter dash at the Rockhold Relays in Baytown March 29. Booker finished first place in the race at 20.72, and also broke the meet record.

At the beginning of last week, all three local Humble ISD 21-6A baseball teams were tied for first.
