Preventing drownings primary objective for HPD Lake Patrol

Lake boating and recreational accidents have been rapidly increasing to all-time highs on Lake Houston, according to officers with the Houston Police Department Lake Patrol. The officers poke at the June meeting of the Kingwood PIP program.

Kings Harbor to Reschedule 4th of July Fireworks Due to Inclement Weather

Due to inclement weather, Kings Harbor will be rescheduling their July 4th concert and fireworks show to ensure the safety of guests, performers, vendors, and staff. The festivities will now be held on Sunday, September 5.

Lake Houston Lowering in Progress

Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin would like to make Lake Houston residents aware, Houston Public Works is monitoring weather forecasts for the Lake Houston region, with predicted rainfall of 3+ inches in our watershed over the next 48 hours. The forecast of 3+ inches of rain in our watershed triggers the Lake Houston lowering protocol.
