About 300 area residents attended Houston Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin’s public meeting at the Kingwood Community Center July 8 to receive updates about two of this area’s most critical flood mitigation projects: dredging the San Jacinto River and the Lake Houston Dam spillway expansion.

The City of Humble Fire Rescue recently welcomed a new member to their fleet by adding a 2021 Pierce Velocity Aerial fire truck. This new addition was put to work within hours of commissioning back in June by responding to a structure fire.

Mayor Pro Tem Martin would like to make Kingwood area residents aware of a water main break located at Longflower Lane and Sweetstem Drive. Houston Public Works informed our office that Inframark and Houston Water are actively working to repair the break.

As more and more of us are safely vaccinated, we are just itching to get back to going out. The City of Humble is ready to accommodate.

Dozens of false alarm calls for fire, police and emergency services have resulted in the city of Humble setting a new penalty schedule.

Lake boating and recreational accidents have been rapidly increasing to all-time highs on Lake Houston, according to officers with the Houston Police Department Lake Patrol. The officers poke at the June meeting of the Kingwood PIP program.
