Following two years of a reimagined celebration, the Mayor’s Office of Special Events is thrilled to announce the return of Houston’s Official Fourth of July Celebration, Shell Freedom Over Texas.

Our hearts are with all of those impacted by the tragic school shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas. We are filled with sadness for all of the victims of this tragedy - those who lost their lives, those who are recovering and the entire Uvalde community. 

Humble ISD teacher pay is projected to be among the highest in the Houston area under a new compensation plan approved on May 24 by the Board of Trustees for the 2022-2023 school year.
