Humble ISD thanks exiting board members, recognizes newcomers

At the May 11 board meeting, the Humble ISD Board of Trustees met to thank current members for service and congratulate newcomers. Board President Robert Sitton thanked exiting members Brent Engelage for his 10 years of service and Keith Lapeze for his 14.5 years of service to the district.

Harris County Commissioner Jack Cagle recently told the Kingwood Area Republican Women his take on ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’ of current conditions in Harris County. Cagle, a Republican, sits on the county’s preeminent decision-making board, albeit in the minority. He is a Republican and one of two on the five-seat group.

On May 1, voters cast their ballots for four Humble ISD board of trustees positions. Incumbents Robert Sitton and Martina Lemond Dixon retained their seats while newcomers Ken Kirchhofer and Chris Parker were elected.
