Kathleen Jackson Sworn in as Commissioner with the Public Utility Commission of Texas

Austin, Texas – Kathleen Jackson was sworn in today as commissioner of the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Commissioner Jackson was appointed to the PUCT by Gov. Greg Abbott on August 5, 2022. She previously served as a Board Member of the Texas Water Development Board since 2014.

Larry Eugene Shiflet passed away on August 2, 2022. He was born in Iola, Texas on September 2, 1940 to Cecil and Estelle Shiflet.

Lake Houston Spillway Dam Infrastructure Project

HOUSTON, TX - In 2017, immediately after Hurricane Harvey devastated the Lake Houston Area, Mayor Pro Tem Martin began the task of transitioning Lake Houston from solely a water reservoir to a water reservoir with flood mitigation infrastructure.

Brady Portrait to Hang in Ways and Means Hearing Room

Brady served as the 66th Chairman of Ways and Means during the 114th and 115th Congresses and currently serves as Ranking Member of the Committee.
