By mid-to-late 2024, Kingwood residents and Lake Houston motorists who travel Northpark Drive can expect to drive on a safer, expanded and scenic Northpark Drive.

The new Lone Star College Kingwood president’s 30-minute talk to the Rotarians of Lake Houston ended up taking more than an hour.

After a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, they are “rolling out the barrel” for the return of the Kingwood Oktoberfest.  This family fun event will take place Oct. 16, from noon to 6 p.m. at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church, located at 1901 Woodland Hills Drive.

Plans are underway to turn the former Forest Cove golf course into home sites.

The September Humble ISD school board meeting was called to order after a day at home for most teachers, staff and students following the predicted path of Hurricane Nicholas.

Sept. 18 will be remembered as an integral part of Humble history. On this day in 2021, the brand-new Guy M. Sconzo Early College High School facility was dedicated to the work and legacy of the late Guy M. Sconzo, former superintendent of Humble ISD.
