Atascocita home fire ruled accidental

Harris County firefighters battled a three-alarm fire Sunday, Feb. 26, that damaged three homes in Atascocita. The incident was reported at 2:15 p.m. in the 6000 block of Ancient Oaks Drive. Officials said the fire started in the garage of one home and spread to two other houses due to the wind.

Feb. 17 was a  busy day at the Humble ISD administration building as several  new candidates officially declared their intentions to run for seats on the Humble ISD Board of Trustees. In all, 15 candidates have filed to run in the May 2017 election.

There’s good news for Lake Houston drivers maneuvering the crowded roads in the southern Lake Houston area. Woodland Hills Drive will be a four-lane boulevard stretching from Beltway 8 to FM 1960.

Book Festival returns to Lone Star-Kingwood
