Bond discussions heat up as Election Day draws near

The early voting period leading up to the May 5 Humble ISD school bond election has begun. The ballot reads as follows: “The issuance of $575,000,000 bonds for the construction, acquisition, and equipment of school buildings and the purchase of sites for school buildings, and the levying of the tax in payment thereof.” Voters must decide whether they’re for the bond or against it.
Not-for-profit agencies rely on donations, volunteers

The answers? The Lake Houston YMCA is more than just a gym. FamilyTime provides a 24-hour rape crisis center at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital. Humble Area Assistance Ministries is supported by acoalition of churches and organizations. The Humble ISD Education Foundation receives funds each year pledged by teachers in the district.
