Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin would like to make Lake Houston residents aware, Houston Public Works is monitoring weather forecasts for the Lake Houston region, with predicted rainfall of 3+ inches in our watershed over the next 48 hours. The forecast of 3+ inches of rain in our watershed triggers the Lake Houston lowering protocol.

Atascocita students take top honors at film competition

Almost four months of tedious work that ultimately culminates in three minutes of film would be enough to deter most people. Constant second guessing, learning programs, fixing animation and even adding music to the short films were just some of the obstacles Atascocita High School seniors Jacob Watson and Nicolas Jones faced while they were working on their UIL short films.

Independence Day celebrations are fewer this year, with COVID-19 still taking a toll on normalcy, and the Kingwood parade will definitely be missed, but Lake Houston residents will still find plenty of things to do in celebration.
Humble ISD board approves raises, improvements

The Humble ISD School Board approved the 2021-2022 budget on June 15. The budget contains the following provisions:
-Provides 3 percent on average raise for all staff for 2021-2022. The district allocated $10.6 million to provide raises.
