St. Martha’s pastor celebrates 50 years as a priest

HAMM kicks off toy drive

Every year, Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) raises money and gathers toys and food for thousands of area families needing assistance. This year, the number of families needing help is significantly larger due to Hurricane Harvey. This event left many displaced that are still living in hotels, with family or friends, and even in other temporary housing until their home can be repaired or they can locate a new, permanent residence.

Atascocita, Summer Creek advance

Since the second game of their 2017 season, the Atascocita Eagles have played like a possible state championship team.

On Friday night at Turner Stadium, in the bi-district round of the 2017 playoffs, the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks felt the full brunt of Atascocita’s capabilities.

Chamber reveals Humble mayor as 2017 Citizen of the Year

The Lake Houston Chamber saluted the area’s small businesses by emphasizing “The Six Cs.”

The first and most important “C” was the “Citizen of the Year” announcement when Chamber Chairman Jerry Martin revealed that the 2017 Citizen of the Year is Humble Mayor Merle Aaron.

Kingwood Randalls celebrates grand re-opening after Hurricane Harvey

$100,000! Hurricane Harvey floodwaters wreaked havoc in many parts of Kingwood, including the Town Center Randalls. After 82 days of being closed, Randalls opened its store with a grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Astros Foundation steps up to the plate of generosity to rebuild Forest Cove/Deer Ridge fields

The Astros Foundation has committed to assisting the Kingwood/Forest Cove Baseball Association in renovating fields damaged by Hurricane Harvey.

The association operates 15 baseball fields in Forest Cove and in Deer Ridge Park.
