Texas Republican Ted Poe will not seek re-election in 2018

District announces plans to reopen KHS after spring break

On Nov. 6, Humble ISD announced their plans for Kingwood High School to reopen March 19. At that time, KHS students will be back in the academic wing for classes at their home campus, and Summer Creek High School (SCHS) students will finish the year with full-time access to their own campus.

Country star Martina McBride chooses Humble to help

Hours before the mobile food pantry opened at the Humble Civic Center Saturday, Nov. 4, more than 100 residents gathered to stand in line to receive non-perishable and perishable foods, fruit, vegetables and toiletries, all donated to help Humble area residents in need.

Humble Thanksgiving Feast set for Nov. 23

The 13th Annual Humble Thanksgiving held at the Humble Civic Center on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. will be an especially important event this year as the community rallies to recover from Hurricane Harvey. Last year, the feast fed more than 3,000 area residents and many more are expected this year. The free celebration is a way of bonding the community together and creating a space where friends and family can volunteer to help others or enjoy a memorable meal.

Mustangs fall to Summer Creek

Summer Creek rolled in all phases of the game in defeating Kingwood, 34-7, on Friday at Turner Stadium. Bulldogs’ quarterback John Holcombe threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns, and was one of two rushers to surpass 100 yards in a dominating performance over the Mustangs.
