Only three weeks into school in Humble ISD, 771 students have active cases of COVID-19, with the number of cases rising nearly 60% from the first week to the second. An active case is one with symptoms or a positive test exhibited in the last 10 days.
Humble holds budget workshop for 2021-2022 revenue, expenditures

Humble City Manager Jason Stuebe led a special budget meeting recently. “The total combined estimated general fund revenue and beginning balance amounts to $83,902,124. Keep in mind that there are several tabs and line items that are coming down that were pushed off to a future date or had attention diverted until this budget due to COVID-19, so capex expenditures are expected to be higher than previous numbers,” he said.

In light of recent events in Afghanistan, the Tribune asked US Congressman Dan Crenshaw to contribute an editorial. Crenshaw is a former SEAL who served five deployments overseas. He lost his right eye during a mission in Afghanistan. He was medically retired in September of 2016 as a lieutenant commander after serving 10 years in the SEAL teams.
