Humble resident competes on ‘The Price is Right’

For the past 35 years, Humble resident Cassandra Jolley has watched “The Price is Right” and dreamed of being on the show.

Jolley’s dream came true Wednesday, Sept. 13 when she competed on the game show and met the show’s host, Drew Carey.

Community meets for initial bond review meetings

Humble ISD to host series of talks about potential bond issue

Seats in the Humble High School auditorium were filled Thursday night, Sept. 28, with residents interested in serving on the Humble ISD citizen bond advisory committee. The committee members will study district growth, facilities and finances, and ultimately will make a recommendation to the school board and administration about the need for a future bond referendum.

Parks suffer millions in damages

Jesse H. Jones Park has a rich history of providing people of all ages with hiking and biking trails, a nature center with many live animals, and a walk-through, early-1800s Texas at the Redbud Hill Homestead and Akokisa Indian Village. Unfortunately, the park, and in particular the Nature Center, was significantly affected by the recent Hurricane Harvey floods.

Summer Creek, Atascocita claim bounce-back victories

SBA opens disaster recovery center in Humble

The Small Business Administration (SBA), in conjuction with FEMA, has opened a disaster recovery center at the Senior Citizen's Activity Center at 1401 S. Houston Ave. in Humble. SBA loan counselors are able to speak face to face with loan applicants to help them apply for SBA assistance.
