The Humble ISD school board election is set for May 1 with five candidates, Janie Branham, Marques Holmes, Lonnie Jackson, Kenneth Kirchhofer and Chase Stevens, vying for Position 4.

The race for mayor of Humble is heating up. The candidates have expressed their differences in multiple town halls and forums and in interviews with The Tribune.

Humble city voters have two significant decisions to make May 1 that will shape their city for at least the next two years. Who will be the new mayor? Who will fill Place 1 and Place 2 on the Humble City Council?

Humble ISD has set an election for four positions on the board of trustees for May 1. Two candidates, Incumbent Martina Dixon and Andrea Glazebrook are vying for Position 5. The Tribune profiled both candidates.

Students are returning to Humble ISD classrooms in a significant way. More than 10 percent of those who chose remote learning have returned for in-person instruction since school began under the Covid-19 cloud.
