Humble ISD welcomes Holmes to board

On Dec. 14, the Humble ISD Board of Trustees welcomed new board member Marques Holmes. Holmes was chosen by the board to replace Lori Twomey, who resigned when moving out of state. Holmes was sworn in by Humble ISD Police Chief Solomon Cook.

Humble ISD breaks ground on renovations for historic Charles Street Stadium

Humble ISD broke ground on renovations for the district’s historic Charles Street Stadium Thursday, Dec. 9.  The renovations will help preserve the history of Charles Street Stadium while ensuring it will continue to be a source of community pride. Plans include demolition and rebuilding of the concession stand, ticket booth, restrooms, as well as adding storage for equipment and maintenance.

Martin wants shovels in ground on Northpark Drive

At the November meeting of the Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority and Tax Increment Zone No. 10 (TIRZ), Houston Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin made it clear he is fed up with waiting forever for the long ago approved Northpark Drive reconstruction to begin.

Parks Foundation to manage community wide ‘Trees for Kingwood’
