Huberty to Retire from Texas House

Texas State Representative Dan Huberty released the following statement: “As the third Special Session ends, I have decided to announce my retirement from the Texas House of Representatives when my term is complete. I have thought long and hard about this decision and know it is time for new opportunities in my life. It’s been an honor to represent the people and communities of District 127 at the Texas Capitol, and I’m proud of the work our team has accomplished.

Martin voices consternation about Northpark Overpass land acquisition

Chairman Stan Sarman opened the Sept. 23 meeting of the Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority and Tax Increment Zone No. 10 (TIRZ) by asking Houston Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin if he had any remarks to make to the directors. Martin had plenty, beginning with a demand for an explanation.
