The final day of Humble ISD school board early voting

The final day of Humble ISD school board early voting saw 517 votes cast; 16 votes, or 3 percent, less than 2105.  The total vote for early voting was 3241, 1091, or 51 percent, more than 2015.  If voters maintain the same margin on Election Day, the final total should be 5400 votes.

Party politics fuel the fire in a (supposedly) nonpartisan trustee race

School board races are supposed to be nonpartisan. Not the case in Humble ISD. Two weeks after the Feb. 17 filing deadline for the school board trustee election, party politics began on March 2 when the Kingwood Tea Party invited Angela Conrad and Keith Lapeze to speak.

Empty bowls on sale to raise funds for HAAM

More than 1,000 handmade bowls will be on sale for $10 each in the Summer Creek High School cafeteria Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Proceeds from the sale of the “Empty Bowls” will benefit Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM).

Huffman board approves zoning boundaries for second elementary
