The March 21 Humble ISD Board of Trustees agenda was packed with several items, including a video promoting the new Elementary School 28, officially named Groves Elementary at this meeting.

Several signs point to an impending resignation of Humble ISD Trustee Position 6, currently held by Heath Rushing, who officially left the CEO job at Memorial Hermann Northeast on Feb. 6 and took responsibility as CEO of Memorial Hermann Cypress and Memorial Hermann Katy hospitals.

At the March 21 Humble ISD board meeting, Dr. Elizabeth Fagen presented the Portrait of an Humble ISD Graduate effort she began last August shortly after assuming the superintendent role on July 5.

In the “good old days,” companies and organizations, such as banks and libraries, stayed in their buildings and waited for customers to come to them. Not so much anymore.

Incumbent Angela Conrad is finishing her first term as an Humble ISD trustee and is seeking re-election to her Position 3 seat during the upcoming election.

Humble Mayor Merle Aaron opened the March 23 city council meeting with a proclamation in recognition of the Harris County Octavia Fields Branch Library.
