Three Kingwood natives are part of Texas A&M’s Singing Cadets (from left): Aaron Daniel, Andrew Weinrich and Josh Harris.

On Friday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m., the Texas A&M Singing Cadets will perform at Northeast Houston Baptist Church, 18000 W. Lake Houston Pkwy. in Atascocita. Known as the “Voice of Aggieland,” the Singing Cadets is an all-male chorus that performs approximately 60 concerts each year throughout Texas, the U.S. and even overseas. Currently, three members of the Singing Cadets are from Kingwood and are all graduates of Kingwood High School. Andrew Weinrich is a geophysics major and a member of The Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2018. Weinrich is in his third year of membership in the Singing Cadets. He currently serves as the group’s public relations manager. Aaron Daniel is an aerospace engineering major and a member of The Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2019. Daniel is in his second year of membership in the Singing Cadets. He is also a member of The Aggienizors, a barbershop quartet group within the Singing Cadets. Josh Harris is an international studies major and a member of The Fighting Texas class of 2020. Harris is in his first year of membership with the Singing Cadets.

The Singing Cadets perform many different types of music: religious, patriotic, Broadway, school songs, etc.
