The calendar is set with events to celebrate the second annual Bird Week on September 19-26.
Bird Week celebrates the important role Houston plays in the journey of billions of migratory birds and the everyday lives of resident birds. Houston Audubon and local conservation partners arrange a week of events centered around the region’s birds and wildlife. From bird walks and mindfulness talks to Purple Martin watch parties, there is something for all Houstonians and everyone online to enjoy. People’s participation and excitement will help the city continue to be a welcoming home for birds. Houston Audubon and partners are excited about the fun virtual programs they have added to the calendar this year. Think virtual bird walks, classes, trivia, movie night and more! For in-person experiences, they’ll have socially distanced events such as outdoor watch parties and bird walks for small groups. To view all the details and links, go to houstonaudubon.org/BirdWeek.
