Dr. Michael Nasra is no stranger to Humble ISD and has returned to lead the staff of Kingwood High School as principal in the new school year. Many in the area may remember Nasra from his assistant principal role with the district leading up to 2014.

Nasra and his family spent the past four years in Keller, where he served as principal in a similar demographic area. He is excited to begin a new chapter back in the Kingwood community, a place of rich history with a strong emphasis on education.

“The greater Humble area already has a reputation for great decision making and high student achievement. My mission is to continue collaborating with the staff and finding new ways to make the highest impact on our student population,” said Nasra.
Nasra was a student of Humble ISD and held his first professional job within the district as well. His roots and support are strong.
“This school already has an excellent faculty forum, a consistently respected student council, and a repetitive backing from the parents of the students. This tri-fold system allows students to have every opportunity to learn. All students deserve an exemplary teaching experience,” said Nasra.
These goals have never been more prevalent for him than post-Hurricane Harvey. “My heart goes out to all the families and business impacted by Harvey. I know that the people of this town are strong and will continue to be strong long after any storm leaves our area and makes us stronger together,” he said.
Nasra knows all too well that meaningful relationships take time to build, just like the areas ravaged by the hurricane waters. He has made it his responsibility to continue to strengthen current relationships while building new, trusting relationships.
“The existing relationships in this area are built on a competitive spirit. In this spirit, every single person strives to be their own version of their best, regardless of whether is it in all-state academics, rigorous athletics, creativity in fine arts, or career and technical education. I know that the 208-2019 school year will yield these same results, same commitment and same excitement,” he said.
