Dear Editor:

July 4th saw another successful treasure hunt on Kingwood greenbelts. Fourteen simultaneous treasure hunts were held with clues posted on Kingwood websites. This is a nonprofit, volunteer activity for Kingwood residents in which families and children are encouraged to participate. Residents are also reminded to enjoy local greenbelts and surrounding areas by taking a walk, jog or bike ride. The next planned activity is the Halloween Treasure Hunt followed by the New Year’s Day Scavenger Hunt to be held on the greenbelts. Check social media for updates. Dear Editor:

I have long and sadly accepted the fact that the leadership of the Democrat Party in recent years has severely lacked patriotism for America and its citizens. Today, I saw Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, the person third in line for the presidency, tell illegal immigrants living here how to avoid/thwart U.S. Government Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel from doing their sworn duties! That is certainly a disgraceful act, but is that actually a crime in and of itself? ICE's job is inherently dangerous as not all illegal aliens are passive. Some are, in fact, previously convicted, violent criminals. For a top American government official to advise them how to avoid U.S. government law enforcement personnel adds a significant degree of danger/risk to their function. We are living in a very sad time for our great country.

Dear Editor:

I greatly appreciate the story you published about my new book, “Miss McDoogle Has the Giggles.” Once again, you have supported me.
