The Humble Thanksgiving Feast is celebrating its 12th year.

The wheels are in motion for the 12th annual Humble Thanksgiving Feast. Held each year at the Humble Civic Center, the luncheon is a chance for the community to come together and share good food and fellowship. Between 11 a.m.-2 p.m., a traditional Thanksgiving meal catered by Top Hat Catering and Mo's Barbecue will be served by volunteers. In addition, the Lion's Club of Humble will host a children's program and donate goodie bags. There will also live entertainment and a spiritual program. Unlike past years, this year will be dine-in only, to encourage everyone to mingle with volunteers, sponsors and community members.
Contributions can be sent to Humble Thanksgiving, 1702 Wilson Road, Humble, TX 77396, or deposited to the Humble Thanksgiving account at Citizens Bank.
Many volunteers are also needed to help with the feast, which fed more than 4,000 people last year. Help is needed with serving food and beverages, greeting guests, delivering dinners and cleaning up. To sign up to volunteer or for more information, call the answering service at 281-540-9597. This number may also be called by those who are unable to attend to request delivery of a meal.
A volunteer meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Phillip Cezeaux Recreation Center, 100 N. Houston Ave., at 6 p.m. Volunteers can also sign up at the meeting.
