Earlier this month, State Rep. Dan Huberty and his family accompanied the Parker Family of Kingwood to the Texas Capitol to present the District 127 ornament for the Texas House Christmas Tree.
The ornament was decorated by the Parker Family, which includes Jason, Chris, Payton, 8, and Sheridan, 6, who said they were thrilled and honored to be asked to decorate the 2016 ornament.
“When we were designing the ornament, we considered trees and greenery because Kingwood is known as ‘The Livable Forest’. But as the district extends far beyond just our community, we tried to encompass an idea that represented all of House District 127 and we came up with the idea of ‘Golf Lake Houston,’” said mom, Chris Parker.
The ornaments are all displayed on the Texas House Christmas tree, a 26-foot tree, compliments of Marshall Cathey’s Farm in Denison. It will remain on display into January 2017.
