Kingwood Garden Club’s Home and Garden Tour will begin April 26 and run for three days. An always enjoyable experience, the club showcases to the public four lovely private homes and gardens.
This year there will also be one spectacular Asian-inspired garden on the tour.
According to Kingwood Garden Club’s Cindy Heckaman, the homes will range “from picture perfect to Tuscany, and from a magnolia home to French elegance. The Asian-inspired garden will feature an oasis and bamboo planting, winding pathways and water features throughout.”
Club members are excited to bring this event to the community once again.
“The attendees will see how Kingwood Strong has come together to rebuild our beautiful community and tour some of the most lovely homes in the Kingwood area,” said Heckaman.
Co-chairs for the event are Cathy Owen and Linda Odell.
Tours will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, and from noon to 4 p.m Sunday, April 28.
Presale tickets are $25 and available at Southern Gardens and Kingwood Garden Center as well as from club members.
Single-site admission is $10 and children under 12 are free. At the door, tickets will be $30.
According to the club’s website, proceeds will go to providing scholarships for college students with related horticulture degrees and to fund many community-wide projects such as the annual tree sale, G.R.E.E.N. Club, public gardens at the Kingwood library, and the Greentree Elementary Butterfly Garden that volunteer club members host and maintain.
