Lexi Stewart and her grand champion steer broke Humble ISD records for the most paid for any animal in the Humble ISD Livestock Show’s 73-year history.

Stewart, an FFA student at Kingwood Park High School, was joined by hundreds of students at the Humble Civic Center Jan. 23 for a barbecue luncheon and auction. Stweart’s steer was purchased for $37,000 by Facilities Sources. Also breaking records was the grand auction total of a whopping $334,300.01! The Barbecue Cook-off takes place at the Civic Center Arena Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 with a Kids Zone, carnival rides and an AG mechanics project show. On Feb. 7-8, the professsional cowboys take the arena at 7 p.m. both nights, followed by a live concert.
