Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's office arrested a total of (16) suspected drunk drivers, 1 for Violation of a protective order, 1 for Felony Evading and 1 for unlawful carry of a handgun. The drivers were each stopped for traffic violations and displayed several signs of intoxication.
Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered on each suspect and it was discovered that they were driving while intoxicated. All suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
It was discovered that Tony Chavez, Jonathan Romero, Pablo Bolanos and Lucas Anthony each had child occupants under 15 years of age in their vehicle and were each charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated with a child passenger under 15 years of age.
Michael Corpus had four prior DWI offenses.
Steven Francis was also charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle, after leading deputies on a brief pursuit.
Ikie Denning had one prior DWI charge and was found to be in possession of a handgun. He was also charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm.
