Welcome, everyone, to Out and About – here to catch you up on what’s happening in the Lake Houston area!
Happy Halloween! May there be lots and lots of candy and sweet treats for you today!
The In the Pink luncheon was a rip-roaring success! The Champagne Diva was a stunning and welcome sight, offering complimentary drinks to the crowd as they mingled to check out the amazing silent auction items staged by Kelly Paull and her committee as well as the Pink Boutique set up by Carol Prince and her committee. Co-chairs Cynthia Calvert and Cristi Cardenas, along with the invaluable Brooke Baugh, organized an amazing event with all the pieces moving together seamlessly. The room, thanks to Tracy Monk and Robin Martinez, was absolutely gorgeous. Emcee Julia Morales, Houston Astros field reporter, did an amazing job while Leslie Raffa, who shared her survivor story, touched everyone. Keynote speaker Keith Isbell was dynamic and inspiring. I was honored to recognize the 2018 Lights of Pink honorees – Toni Schau, Mothers Against Cancer, The Astros Foundation, Halene Crossman, Flowers of Kingwood and U.S. Representative Ted Poe. Among the more than 400 attendees enjoying the delicious lunch were Lynn Fields, Daniel Ledoux, Dan and Tara Crenshaw, Gina and Christina Remmes, Ron Crossman, Janet Huberty, Pam McNair, Geralyn and Kelly Sullivan, Millie Garrison, Connie Chandler, Charles Cunningham, Liz Fagen, Guy Sconzo, Gwendolyn Crawford, Diane Blanco, Robert Scarfo and Rebecca Tribo.
It’s time again for a whole new crop of sorority pledges for Kingwood Area Panhellenic.
