I hope you all had a fantastic Fourth of July – full of food, family, fun, fireworks and patriotic love of our country!

I am currently enjoying a couple of weeks off sailing around the Galapagos archipelago with a good number of other Ledouxs from around the country celebrating summer and Don and Lucy Ledoux’s 80th birthdays. The yacht (boat? ship? vessel?) only carries 20 passengers and fully half of them are family. I’m sure Daniel will be posting pictures via Facebook of all the amazing wildlife and marine life.

Out and About on the 4th of July:

Over at Valley Ranch was a crush with hundreds of people enjoying Pat Green and yummy food from my favorite BBQ guy, Dave Welch. Mark and Marie Linabury were there as well as Laurel Erickson, Teresa Welch, Matt Kee, Claude Guillemette, John Smith, Cullen Stowers, Ron Holley, Kathleen Pennese, Sheila Hebert and so many others.

At the Kingwood Country Club were Darryal and Connie Chandler, Rick and Kelly Paull, Danny and Geralyn Sullivan, Gene and Beth Powell, Sam and Casey Schrade, Carol-Leigh Harvey, Rachel Harlin, Kay Manning, Karen Fennell, Kurtz and Katie Stowers, Sydney Ware, Allison McCrady, Danell Fields, Jay Fields, Jess Alan Fields, Kathy Smith, Kimberly Rice and Helen Reuland who enjoyed fireworks, food and children’s activities.

At Kingwood Town Center were also hundreds of people munching on food from all the different food trucks and snagging prime outdoor seating at Chachi’s while enjoying entertainment from a number of live bands. Nancy Foisner was enjoying the day with adorable grandson Caleb while Juanita Zavala checked out the scene before heading off to see what was going on over at the Kings Harbor celebration. It felt a little strange not having the annual Alspaugh’s Street Dance – hope it comes back next year.
