Napa Valley’s complex and varied soil types are the result of volcanic activity, ocean incursions and mountain water run-off that have occurred over thousands of years. This Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from vineyards that are blessed with the ideal oil and weather conditions to create delicious fruit with concentrated flavors, ideally balanced acidity and bright aromas. Cold, stainless steel fermentation preserves the varietal’s naturally crisp, citrus characteristics.

The winter of 2016-2017 broke the drought for most of California. Napa Valley received much needed rainfall throughout the season, totaling almost 60 inches of rain. The vines responded with full, healthy canopies for the long growing season. The weather was warm and sunny all season, which allowed the fruit to ripen at a slow and steady pace. The Sauvignon Blanc became ripe near the end of August, allowing the winery to start the harvest on the same day as in 2016 Aug. 28.

The wine can be enjoyed as a delightful aperitif or as an accompaniment to all sorts of hard cheese, walnuts toasted with oilve oil, rosemary and sea salt. Also delicious with Dover Sole with a light cream sauce or your favorite sushi.
