It's time to 'cowboy-up' as the main events of the Humble ISD Rodeo ride into town. The two-week event will kick-off Jan. 30 with the annual, and widely-popular, Renegade Roundup held at the Golden Corral in Humble from 7-9 a.m. Hosted by the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, the event is the Committee's annual fundraiser for teacher grants and scholarships for students in Humble ISD, Spring ISD, Northeast Christian Academy and Lone Star College- Kingwood. Tickets are $10 and include an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet and entertainment provided by attendees as the Committee arrests guests and raises bail money, all for a good cause. Guests are arrested, put in jail and ordered to raise money for their release. Those arrested have to raise $100 in bail money the day of the event, or pre-pay $125 before the event. Have someone in mind you'd like to see arrested? Warrants can be issued for $25. For more information, or to have a warrant issued, call Carolyn McCarty at 281-319-8907.
