Kingwood Dance Theatre invites the public to attend a “Cinderella Storybook Ballet.” The ballet is choreographed by Sheryl Rowland, Kelly Agnew, Trish King and Mary Hayes to the music of the Strauss family.
Guests will see the classic story of sweet Cinderella as she wins her prince, despite the antics of her jealous stepfamily. This family-friendly ballet features the dancers of Kingwood Dance Theatre. The role of Cinderella will be performed by Michelle Peterson and guest artist Andrew Copeland will dance the role of Prince Charming. The role of the Fairy Godmother will be danced by Keira King. Annie Shupak and Emma Monsen will share the role of stepmother. Lauren Lee, Alexis VanBaarle, Alexis Weier and Madison Ripp will share the two stepsisters’ role. The ballet also features a Prissy Cat and Tom Cat. This pas de deux will be danced by Caroline Inzone and Eli Go.
The shows will be held at the Nathaniel Center, located at 804 Russell Palmer Road in Kingwood, Friday, April 7, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 8, at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 9, at 2:30 p.m. All shows except the Saturday matinee will be a dinner theatre format.
Tickets are $25 for general admission or reserved tables of eight may be purchased for $250 and tables of 10 for $300. For the Saturday matinee performance, general admission tickets are $15, while reserved tables of eight are $170 and reserved tables of 10 are $200.
