Proud to be part of the 125 year university tradition.

The Kingwood/Humble Aggie Moms (KHAM) are hosting the Texas A&M Singing Cadets live in concert Friday, Jan. 3 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kingwood. The event is open to the public (you don’t have to be an Aggie to attend), and the group wants everyone to come out for a wonderful evening of song and celebration.

The all-male chorus is known as the “Voice of Aggieland”, and the group is a 125+-year tradition at the university. The singing group performs over 60 national and international concerts each year. During the January winter break from school, the Cadets set out on a rigorous week-long tour, performing many concerts across Texas for Aggie Moms groups and Texas A&M local alumni groups.

Several past and present members of the chorus are graduates of local Humble ISD high schools, so the concert is very special to the local KHAM group. Texas A&M University Singing Cadets was established as an all-male chorus in 1893. The Emmy award winning group has traveled over 35,000 miles and has performed over 700 concerts in the last 10 years, including venues in Romania, Mexico, Germany, England, Switzerland, Hungary, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.

They’ve visited over 125 Texas communities, and have even performed the National Anthem at a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park. They have even performed for presidents like George H.W. Bush – both at his 93rd birthday in Kennebunkport, Maine and at his funeral service at Texas A&M.

The January 3 Kingwood program consists of the best songs from the Voice of Aggieland, including religious, patriotic, Broadway, popular, and novelty music. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the silent auction bidding and raffle, which features many wonderful items, and there will be delicious refreshments home baked by all those Aggie moms. The performance begins at 7p.m.

The KHAM club is organized strictly for philanthropic purposes, and proceeds from the event benefit local Texas A&M students with philanthropy to help with tuition and school costs. Tickets can be purchased here:
