Elyssa Coleman scored 50 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a recent 84-22 victory at home over South Houston. Blake Matthews pumped in 24 points in an 84-23 road victory over Pasadena Memorial. Coleman hauled in 17 rebounds and Dede Davis handed out eight assists.
After opening the District 22-6A season with three consecutive victories, the Lady Wildcats dropped league matches last week to Dobie (50-46) and Summer Creek (71-36). They look to get back to their winning ways this weekend at the DeKaney Tournament.
Jacob Harvey poured in 32 points and Daniel Rios hit the winning free throw in a 52-51 victory over Magnolia West on the road Friday. Harvey now has more than 1,100 points in his career.
The Lady Mustangs dropped a 49-37 decision at Dobie on Friday. Earlier, Savannah Wilson scored 30 points in a 58-37 victory over Pasadena Memorial. Kennedy Studdert and Maddie Vanderpool scored 13 points apiece and Avery Gleason added 10 more.
The Lady Panthers captured a big District 20-5A victory, 46-39, over New Caney. Kingwood Park (8-9, 5-1) got 11 points and 11 rebounds from Biva Byrd and nine points and 11 rebounds from Kendall Daniel, who scored 14 points in an earlier 54-35 victory over Tomball. Chloe Gresham finished with nine points in the win.
Reyce Allen led the way with 19 points while Dylen Scales finished with 16 points and JaVon Jackson added 15 more in a 66-44 victory at Humble on Friday. Earlier, Jaylon Jackson scored 18 in a 75-46 victory at home over Pasadena. Summer Creek is 14-3 overall and 2-0 in District 22-6A play.
