With the kids out of school and long days of warm weather beckoning, taking a vacation might be on the minds of many.
In fact, a record-breaking 46.9 million people are planning to travel at least 50 miles away from home this July 4 for Independence Day, according to AAA. That's up 5 percent from a year ago and the highest it's been in the 18 years the group has been tracking travel for that holiday.
Here are a few favorites that are just a flight away!
Marriott Resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico
As if smaller crowds, lower room rates (and flights!) and the warm ocean breeze weren’t reason enough to book it to the beach this summer, several Marriott hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico are offering travelers resort bucks — up to $100 per night — to eat, drink or spa their summer days away. With rates as low as $209 per night (at the Marriott Cancun Resort), paradise is within reach.

Resort credit and minimum night stay vary by property.
